Eclou Lucien John started singing at St. Albert Catholic Church, Port Harcourt, then at University of Benin in Benin City, Edo State. Hi began his secondary education at Simon and Jude Minor Seminary, in Abuja, where he sang as a lead treble in the choir. He later moved back to Benin where he completed his schooling. There, he joined the Klassique Klobb Philarmonic Choir as a Tenor under the directorship of Mr. Tunde Adeleke. A few years later, he was admitted to the MUSON Diploma School of Music to undergo a two-year training programme courtesy of a schoolarship by the MTN Foundation. He is currently a soloist of the Lagos City Chorale and a diploma student at the MUSON School of Music. John is one of the nigerian brightest tenors of his time. He has performed various works by Handel, J.S.Bach, Mozart and so on. He won the first prize in the 2009 Brandler Youth Competition MUZIQUEST.
